Privacy
What the app knows about you, in full.
Short, because there is not much to say. Sachet has no account system, no analytics and no telemetry.

Your files
They never leave your Mac. The bag holds references to files
where they already are. Nothing about them, not their names, their contents,
their thumbnails or their paths, is transmitted anywhere. That list lives in a
single file on your own disk, at
~/Library/Application Support/Sachet.
What the app sends over the network
Two things, both of which you can see coming:
- Update checks. The app asks
updates.sachet.appwhether a newer build exists, and downloads it if you say yes. The request carries what any download carries: your IP address, and the app and system version so an update can be offered that actually runs on your Mac. - Licence checks. When you activate a licence, the app sends the key and an identifier derived from the Mac it is running on, so that a key can be limited to a small number of machines. It does not send your name, your files or anything about how you use the app.
During the trial the app does not need to talk to a licence server at all.
When you buy
Payment is handled by Stripe. Your card details go to Stripe and are never seen by this app or its author. What comes back is an email address and a payment reference, which is what a licence key is issued against, and what a refund is looked up by.
Your email address is stored so the key can be re-sent and so a receipt can reach you. It is not used for anything else, and there is no mailing list to be added to.
Stripe's own handling of your data is covered by Stripe's privacy policy.
This website
No analytics, no cookies, no third-party scripts, no consent banner to dismiss. The site is static files served by Cloudflare, which keeps standard request logs of the kind every web server keeps.
How long anything is kept
Licence records are kept while the licence exists, because the licence is what they are for. Payment records are kept as long as the law requires them to be kept, which for tax purposes is measured in years, not months.
What you can ask for
A copy of what is held about you, a correction to it, or its deletion. Deleting a licence record retires the licence with it, so it is a real choice rather than a formality. Ask from the address you paid with.
